About this template
The event overview records the name, type, date, time and duration. The timeline has six time slots, each with a line for what happens then. Eight checkbox lines hold key tasks, and resources needed covers equipment, supplies and the number of staff or volunteers. Key contacts has three name and phone lines. The last line sets target attendance, budget and success criteria, so you know in advance what a good result looks like. The layout is generic enough for a shower, reunion, fundraiser or team event.
How to use it
- Write the success criteria first; they shape every other decision.
- Build the timeline backward from the end of the event.
- Give each key task a name or date on its line.
- Keep venue and caterer phone numbers in key contacts for the day itself.
