Habit Tracker

A free printable habit tracker for one month: up to 14 habits, a box for every day from 1 to 31, a total for each habit, and space to reflect and pick a reward. Download the PDF or fill it in online with Apple Pencil.

Free · no sign-up · PDF works for printing and in PDF note apps such as Goodnotes and Notability. Made for this site.

About this template

At the top you fill in the month and year. The table below has a Habit column and 14 rows; each row has 31 small boxes numbered 1 to 31 and a Total column at the end, where you count the days you kept the habit. Weekdays are not printed, so the same page works for every month — in shorter months you simply leave the last boxes empty. Under the table are two lined boxes: Monthly reflection, for what worked and what to change, and Reward, for what you will treat yourself to when you hit your goal. Nothing is pre-filled.

How to use it

  1. Start with three to five habits. Empty rows are fine — add more next month.
  2. Write each habit so you can answer yes or no at night: “read 10 pages”, not “read more”.
  3. Tick the box right after you do the habit, not at the end of the week.
  4. On the last day, count the ticks into Total and write two lines in Monthly reflection before you start a new page.

Frequently asked questions

How many habits should I track?

Most people do best with three to five. The page has room for 14, so you can add habits once the first ones stick.

Does it work for any month?

Yes. You write the month and year yourself, and the days run from 1 to 31 without weekdays, so you can print it or duplicate it in a note app every month.

Is the habit tracker free?

Yes — the PDF and the online version are free, with no sign-up. It is a PDF, not a spreadsheet: print it, import it into Goodnotes or Notability, or write on it here with Apple Pencil.
